The LSFC went down defiantly in both the League and Reserves Grand Finals.
In what was one of the better Grand Final games in recent history the League side push the talented Mallee Park side to the final siren going down by 17 points which included a goal to Mallee Park after the final siren.
The effort and resilience shown by the entire side was clearly recognised and appreciated by all those supporters present on the day.
Coaches Michael and Shaun have done a wonderful job all year and the club should be extremely proud of what the league side was able to achieve. The supporters of the club should be very excited for the future with many young players raising their games throughout the year to be pushing for consistent league selection.
The Reserves also fell agonisingly short on the day going down by 7 points.
After a great 2nd semi final win over the minor premiers Marble Range the reserves were unable to resist a second half surge from Mallee Park.
In a similar story to the League side, Scott and his support staff have done a great job in getting to the last game of the year and will no doubt take a strong desire into next year and with the goal of going one better.
The LSFC thanks all those that have help supported and volunteered for the club this year and although the ultimate success narrowly elude us we will be back bigger and stronger next year.
Proud. Committed. Relentless
